The Samsung Galaxy S6 saw the revolution of the Samsung galaxy S models. This smartphone was the first to have three different types. Unlike other years, which is, in the Last 4 Years, Samsung only releases One Galaxy S series smartphone as their flagship for that year. However, starting from the Samsung Galaxy S6, the mobile giant decided to start producing different smartphones all under the latest galaxy S6. The samsung S6 consists of the following:
Samsung Mobile announced the launching of the S6 and S6 edge on the 1st of March 2015. Five month later, exactly on the 13th of August 2015, Samsung announced the introduction of the Galaxy S6 edge+, along with the release of it’s popular Note series, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The Galaxy S6 smartphone did came out with lots of improved features and changed the face of Galaxy smartphone forever. The S6 series came with notable improvements like the wireless charge, Virtual reality, Smart Manager feature and screen splitting to the side of the phone. With the S6 edge and S6 edge plus, there is no sidebar on this phone, since the screen curved to the sidebar. One welcomed feature is it metal and glass build.
The Galaxy S6 series removes many features from its predecessors (especially the S4 and S5). Features removed includes microSD slot, removable battery features, Air Gesture, Air View, Smart Pause, Smart Rotation, Smart Scroll, the one-handed mode, Sensitivity, and USB 3.0 support.
You should note that while improving on the S6, Samsung missed out on the Water resistance which was featured in S5. The Galaxy S5 had IP67 water resistance; however, the Galaxy S6 lacked this feature.
